OEM Experience

In keeping with the tradition of providing integrated solutions, GeoFocus is working with Chicago Metra, to install TIMSTAR^™ on not only their existing fleet, but also on new gallery cars purchased from Sumitomo/Nippon Sharyo. Working closely with Nippon Sharyo engineers, all units are being outfitted with an IEEE 1473L LonWorks interface to provide easy integration with new light rail vehicles to those existing in the fleet. The GeoFocus TIMS on-train equipment works seamlessly with the Metra TIMS software already in place.

Kinkisharyo International has also awarded GeoFocus contracts to provide complete on-board communications systems to new cars in the New Jersey Transit Hudson-Bergen Line and the Phoenix-Valley Metro and Seattle–Sound Transit Light Rail Systems.
